Vona introduces two CBD tinctures in collaboration with Sigur Rós

Would you rather drift into the ethereal or align with the physical world?

Iconic Icelandic art-rock band Sigur Rós has lent its name to a pair of CBD tinctures with self-explanatory names: Sleep and Wake. Both tinctures are manufactured and sold by Vona.

Containing 1,000 milligrams of full-spectrum hemp-derived CBD per dropper bottle, Sleep promises to “support your mind and body as you drift off into the ethereal”. This seems appropriate, seeing as how a lot of Sigur Rós’s music has that exact effect—and I mean that in a good way.

Wake, meanwhile, boasts a “fresh citrus pine” flavour, and is formulated to “help you align with the physical world”. And who among us couldn’t use a little help doing that, especially these days?

Vona’s name is derived from the Icelandic word von—which is also the title of Sigur Rós’s first album. However, the company seems to be an entirely U.S.-based operation, with its products manufactured in Southbridge, Massachusetts.

This isn’t the band’s first foray into the cannabis business. In 2017, Sigur Rós partnered with Lord Jones for a limited-edition CBD-infused edible product called “Sigurberries“.

In related news—related in a musical sense, not in a cannabis way—Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi today announced his first solo album in a decade. Shiver is due out on October 22 on the Krunk label.

The album’s first single, “Swill”, was released today, along with an accompanying video, which you can check out below:
