There are a few places in the world where being a cannabis user is a legitimately dangerous. For a long time, Thailand was one of those places. In the mid-2000s, the country took the so-called “war on drugs” literally, with over 2,800 reports of extrajudicial killings in the first three months of a public campaign to eradicate drugs.
