So how much weed do weed CEOs smoke?

Ten years ago, being a CEO who smokes cannabis would have been unthinkable.
But in the new world of big weed, there are plenty of CEOs with one foot in the business world and the other in the weed world. Which raises the question: how much do they actually indulge in cannabis?
Recently, Quartz asked a half dozen weed CEOs. And while most of them find time for CBD throughout the day, they all have very different answers.
Max Simon of Green Flower says he uses tinctures throughout the day to help treat his ADD.
“Cannabis gives me the ability to focus and be present in a way that nothing else in my whole life has ever been capable of doing,” he says. His staff are also allowed to use weed throughout the day (within reason). “It would be hypocritical of me, quite frankly, to use old practices of thinking in the workplace,” he says.
Alison Gordon, CEO of 48 North, says she won’t touch the stuff during the day but is a lover of the classics – joints – after work. She says it helps her feel like a consumer again. “The way that I work, and lead a company, it very much has to be something that I understand at every level,” she says.
Amanda Jones, co-founder of Kikoko, a weed-infused tea company, has a rule: one milligram of THC during the day. “I probably wouldn’t encourage going straight out and doing seven milligrams of THC at work,” she jokes. “That could be bad.”
