President Trump’s Ukraine scandal touches the weed industry

Apparently some of the president’s Ukraine friends have also been busy trying to build their own weed empire

You've Been Trumped - You've Been Trumped: Donald Trump takes a swing for the photographers on the future site of his golf course in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, to be built on a previously protected conservation area.

Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani has a lot of friends. And some of them have been busy guys lately with all the controversy swirling around the president over his alleged Ukraine crimes.

Somewhere in all those alleged crimes the names Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman show up. They’re the subjects of explosive indictments currently rocking the U.S. political establishment. The two allegedly tried to dig up dirt on Democratic Party hopeful for president Joe Biden.

Turns out Parnas and Fruman are also involved in alleged weed crimes.

According to Talking Points Memo, those crimes involve efforts to bribe Nevada and other state officials to change laws around the licensing of recreational pot. The two allegedly funneled cash from an unnamed foreign national to candidates for political office in Nevada “to build a weed empire.”

But these knuckleheads blew it. They completely missed the deadline to file paperwork in Nevada.

The two will be appearing in court later this week. It will be interesting to see how this weed scandal plays out.
