New York Fashion Week shows off high fashion
Weed makes it onto the runway in designer Korto Momolu’s show

New York Fashion Week is no stranger to drugs of all sorts, but this year one of them, weed, is on more prominent display — even making it onto the runway.
A show by designer Korto Momolu held in Manhattan’s Pier 59 Studios featured not only outfits designed of hemp fabric, but models taking hits off a vape pen as the walked the runway. (The designer says it’s the kind of thing that helps “normalize” cannabis. But if it’s made it into the usually-austere world of New York fashion, it stands to reason that maybe cannabis is already well past normalized.
