Israel has some of the most sought after cannabis genetics on the planet. And the pool of producers just got larger.
The Israeli government has reportedly approved seven new licenses that will effectively triple the size of the country’s medical marijuana production.
The move will help ease supply challenges since the country required distribution of all medical cannabis through pharmacies. That’s led to price hikes. But one Israeli official says that prices should decrease as the new growers begin supplying product.
“It should flood the market,” he says.
