Everywhere we turn these days we’re reading about the medicinal benefits of CBD. Cannabis producers are putting it in drinks and skin creams. And a lot of people who are curious about it are turning to Google for answers.
According to researchers from the University of California, San Diego, online searches for CBD have skyrocketed – up more than 100 per cent each of the last three years. And there are no signs of letting up. For example, CBD was googled more than six million times in April alone.
It’s even catching up to the most-googled health subject – dieting.
While this is good for the CBD industry, experts have concerns about people getting their health info from the internet.
“Many consumers simply don’t know what they’re putting in their body or which brands to trust,” says Darcie Moran, one industry expert. But there are some basic answers to that, which can also be found on the internet.
