Cannabis a favourite Christmas stocking stuffer in Jushi Holdings poll

Thought of the perfect gift this holiday season?

Cannabis users in the U.S. have, and their choice may not come as a complete surprise.

Results of a poll conducted for Florida-based and Canadian-listed pot company shows that 76 percent of respondents plan to give weed or related products this holiday season.

The survey was done for Jushi Holdings Inc., a multi-state cannabis firm engaged in retail, cultivation, and processing.

A higher number of 88 percent of respondents said that they would likely purchase weed and related products as holiday gifts if pot is fully legalized across the U.S.

Jushi announced the results of its inaugural “Cannabis Consumer Insights Holiday” poll in a media release Wednesday (December 1).

Opinion firm Pollfish surveyed 1,000 cannabis users in states where pot is legal.

Highlights:

Nine of 10 or 91 percent of respondents said they plan to use cannabis as part of their Christmas celebrations this year.

Flower was chosen by 52 percent of respondents as their favourite product.

As for other items, 65 percent indicated edibles as their preferred item; 46 percent, pre-rolls; and 46 percent, vapes.

As for specific strain, 74 percent chose “Sour Diesel”.

A total of 72 percet indicated that they use cannabis for anxiety and stress.

An October 14, 2021 report by U.S.News.com cited 2020 U.S. Census Bureau numbers showing that  more than 145 million Americans live in a state where cannabis is now legal.

The digital news site noted that recreational weed has been legalized in 18 states.
