After the holiday festivities, January can be a tough—and long—month. If you’re anything like us, the pages of your diary are looking decidedly sparse. But, with thanks to Aura Cannabis, we’re kicking the New Year blues to the curb and looking to the STARS instead.

Aura’s philosophy centres on encouraging a balanced lifestyle and a natural approach to healing, which is just what we need at this time of year. The knowledgeable and approachable staff is committed and passionate about bringing quality products that help achieve a new balance, elevate your mood, and lead to positive health benefits.

By raising the question: “Where can we take you?’, Aura introduces a new series of unforgettable experiences and events, with the mission of bringing like-minded Vancouverites together. And on Saturday (January 13) the series starts on a high—no pun intended—with a free 19+ concert at Venue featuring a Canadian favourite—STARS.

There’s nothing quite like great music with friends to make us feel more positive about the year ahead. And did we mention it’s free? All you have to do is RSVP at the link below before next Thursday (January 11) for the chance for you and a plus one to attend this exclusive 19+ event. Fans’ names will be drawn and the winners notified on Friday (January 12).

We’re feeling optimistic about 2018, already.

Even better, every RSVP will automatically be entered to win the chance to meet STARS before the concert.

With almost 20 years in the business, STARS continues to prove themselves as some of the finest musical storytellers in the country. Since their first album Nightsongs in 2001, STARS returns time and again to reassure us that within the experience of failure is the path to a life well lived. And much to the excitement of its avid fan base, the band now launches its eighth full-length release There Is No Love in Fluorescent Light, via Last Gang Records worldwide.

From the reflective beauty of Amy Millan’s vocal in “Privilege”, to Torquil Campbell’s contemplative lyric on “We Called It Love”, the two new tracks from its latest album prove that STARS still has the ability to tell the tales of our deepest emotions.

In a statement, the band declares, “We made this record for ourselves, for our kids, and for you. And we are so happy and grateful that you’re still listening to our music.”
