Medical has become somewhat of a blanket term used by lawmakers, the government, and other broad organizations to legislate and educate people on the medical uses and benefits of marijuana plants. When medical marijuana was first used to treat pain, it subsequently gained a lot of popularity in the 1970s. It was revealed that marijuana consumers suffered fewer complications and side effects from chemotherapy.

Medical marijuana use is likely to be widened in subsequent years to treat even more disorders and health conditions, such as epilepsy, opiate addictions, Alzheimer’s, and arthritis.
