Heat Cleaning

Heat-Cleaning is the process of heating up a nail on a dab rig for an extended period of time. This high heat helps to remove any resin or residual concentrate. If you do it routinely, dab rig cleaning can be simpler than bongs because less resin accumulation is produced by the lack of combustion in dabbing. However, dab rigs build up reclaim that can obstruct your device and hamper each dab’s flavour. Dab rigs can also be fairly complicated to clean properly if they contain advanced filtration properties. Repeated use of a nail, particularly if the nail is not cleaned regularly, can create carbon and reclaim accumulation. One of the easiest methods to clean a nail or banger is to heat it up with a torch lighter until the residue and carbon burns right off. If the residue is a small amount, it should be adequately washed by torching a nail. Heat cleaning is quick and effective. One thing to remember is that if you are using the heat cleaning method on your quarts or ceramic nails, you need to be careful not to expose your nail to a quick change temperature. This could potentially cause a stress fracture. Once the nail is red hot and the residue starts to dissolve, be sure to let it cool off completely before doing the final scrapes. Routine preventative maintenance is the best advice when caring for your dab rig. Cleaning the nail after every dab session will make sure that no residue will start to build up. After each dab, some users will wipe off any extra oil that accumulates on it. As a result, the dabs will taste better and greater airflow will occur. Cleaning out the dab rig with isopropyl alcohol is another recommendation that works effectively.

Heat cleaning my dab rig made it look brand new. I usually use this method after every dab now that I know it.
