Combustion

Combustion refers to the process of burning any material. However, combustion in this case refers to the burning of any cannabis flower or concentrate. A lot of cannabis connoisseurs with much little or a lot of experience will know that a different kind of high will result from using a bong and using a vaporizer. Although the distinction between combustion and vaporization may not seem as important to the beginner-level user or medicalmarijuana patient.

Seasoned daily tokers may not even thoroughly understand the science behind these common forms of consumption. Combustion, in this particular case being with cannabis, may simply be described as the process of burning it. On the other hand, vaporization is a slightly more complex process involving a transition from liquid to vapour. The most important factor to consider when looking at the differences between combustion and vaporization is the temperature used for each method.

The majority of vaporization devices will heat marijuana just below the burning point, and this ranges from 180 to 190 degrees Celsius (356 to 374 degrees Fahrenheit). On the flip side, a lighter can create an open flame that can nearly exceed upward of 315 degrees Celsius, or 600 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a very high temperature that will boil off a large amount of terpenes and cannabinoids even before the cannabis is consumed. Vapingcannabis increases the amount of cannabinoid compounds that may be triggered, and this is why a lot of medicalcannabis patients like to use these devices for cannabis consumption.

Even though there is still a lack of research on the long-term health consequences of vaping, vaporization is generally acknowledged to be safer than smoking. The inhalation of any combusted plant material, including cannabis products, is considered a health concern for medical patients in particular. Vaporization creates fewer carcinogenic compounds than combustion and can even serve to remove harmful and potentially carcinogenic compounds created by combustion.

Use of Term

Combustion is a funny word for fire.
