Dutch Love Cannabis applies to open sixth store in Vancouver

The company affiliated with the hospitality company Donnelly Group has 23 locations across Canada.

Dutch Love Cannabis stores in Vancouver currently outnumber its competitors in the city.

Dutch Love Cannabis wants to open a second retail location in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver.

It has proposed to open a store at 2560 Arbutus Street, a strip mall south of West Broadway.

If its application for a development permit is approved by city hall, this will be the company’s sixth in Vancouver.

At present, Dutch Love Cannabis stores outnumber its competitors in the city.

The cannabis business is affiliated with the Donnelly Group, a hospitality company that operates pubs and barbershops in Vancouver and Toronto.

Its corporate name is Lightbox Enteprises Ltd.

In April 2019, Lightbox opened its first cannabis store under the brand name Hobo.

More than a year later, the brand in August 2020 transitioned to its current name of Dutch Love Cannabis.

The company submitted an operational letter as part of its application with the City of Vancouver for a development permit at 2560 Arbutus Street.

In it, Dutch Love noted that it has 23 cannabis locations across Canada.

“Our goal is to provide safe legal cannabis products and accessories to the Kitsilano community,” the letter stated.
